Corrosion Resistance & Applications
254 SMO offers a 6% molybdenum super-austenitic stainless steel with PREN above 42, bridging the gap between conventional stainless steels and nickel alloys in chloride-rich media. Typical applications include seawater cooling, desalination, offshore oil & gas, pulp bleaching and chemical tankers.

What thickness range can you supply for 254 SMO sheet and plate?
Cold-rolled sheet is available from 0.5 mm up to 3.0 mm, and hot-rolled plate from 3.0 mm up to 60 mm. Thinner strip and foil down to 0.1 mm can be supplied in coil form.
Do you provide mill test certificates?
Yes. Every shipment is supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate covering chemical composition, mechanical properties and heat number traceability. Third-party inspection by SGS, TUV or BV is accepted before shipment.
Can you cut 254 SMO plate to my required size?
Yes. We offer cut-to-length, laser/plasma cutting and edge preparation services so the material arrives ready for your fabrication.
