Nickel alloy sheet and plate is ordered to ASTM (or ASME) product standards. Here is a quick map of the standards behind the grades we supply.

Standards by Grade

Standard Grades
ASTM B168 Inconel 600, 601
ASTM B443 Inconel 625
ASTM B670 Inconel 718
ASTM B575 Hastelloy C-276, C-22, C-2000
ASTM B333 Hastelloy B-2, B-3
ASTM B435 / B582 Hastelloy X / G-30
ASTM B409 Incoloy 800/800H/800HT
ASTM B424 / B625 Incoloy 825 / 926
ASTM B127 Monel 400
ASTM B162 Nickel 200/201
ASTM B463 / A240 Alloy 20 / 254 SMO, 904L

What a Product Standard Covers

Each standard defines permissible chemical ranges, mechanical property minimums by condition and thickness, dimensional tolerances, and required testing. Quoting the standard plus the UNS number (e.g. “ASTM B443 UNS N06625”) removes ambiguity from any purchase order.

ASTM vs ASME

For pressure equipment, ASME adopts the same specification with an “SB” prefix (SB-443, SB-575…). The technical content is identical; the ASME edition adds code-case status. We supply both on request.
